We have finally been to our Model UN Conference. Your performance was outstanding and I am really proud of all of you. I thank you and Mai for your hard work,
Here are some pictures.
I would like you to write about your experience. Let's keep our fingers crossed and hope we pass to the second round. But if we do not we should not be worried.
At the beginnig of the day I was really nervous, but thanks to the "baby shark dance " I became a bit more relaxed. We were lucky because de gave our opening speech, but at the moderated caucus I had a nervous crisis because I couldn't think of any questions, but after a long time thinking we came out with some questions. We were sponsors of a resolución, and we had los of signatories, but unfortunately the chair didn't chose it. At the end of the day I was really tired, but I hadf a crear day full of fun. Maria
It was a great day with big excitements and smiles. It all started with a really american game that was really helpful to open our hearts and show our homecountry side. Even though I couldn't recite my oppening speech ,I had the luck of going up to the chair and explain my resolution that was one of my favourite parts of the days .I impose a really loud voice with plenty of confidence for that the people at the back ends could hear me. My country secretary/helper/personal assistance Anahi did a great job asking/bothering to all the delegations if they could sign our resolution at the end with perceverancy and small tricks we had the whole room as signatories. The last part of the day was the voting procedure in the one I had to dialogue with the Poland delegation for that they could vote our resolution. I told to the Poland delegation if they would vote our resolution so we would vote his resolution . Anahi was all the time laughing at, me at the Poland delegation, I started to got mad at her she didn't stop laughing and she wasn't able of telling a common sentence to the Poland guY. In fact I was the only one speaking to him and Anahi only bothered ore disagreed at me when I spoke to him. God tell me whyyyyyy!!!! By the end it was a fun day. CARLOS
The day before the conference I was very excited so I couldn't sleep so much. At the morning Maria was phoning me because it was six o'clock and I had to woke up, I started the day with a shower while I was thinking about my opening speech sincerely I was very nervous and excited. I drees up with my suit and I went all the way to the conference but before I had to go to the underground were al my mates and Charo were. She was there waiting with a tie which perfectly match with my suit. When we arrived to the place were the conference was held I started to be more nervous that I was before. The conference was about to start we entered the room and we sat down, first we started presenting each other with the people that were near us and then we did an ice breaker called the Baby Shark. We were lucky because we did our opening speech. It was a great experience and this has help us to speck in public and to be more social. I think that Charo has to be proud of us.
I first thing I did when I woke up was to called Cristina, it was like six o'clock in the morning, but then I went to sleep again till quarter to seven. I was very nervous and I wanted to make sure that I didn't forget anything and I arrived a little bit late. I was relaxed when we were in the underground because it looks like we were going to a trip. When we arrived I was impressed by the students of others schools because they spoke English very well. In the first round we didn't have the chance to tell our opening speech. We was just the next one in the list but we moved to moderate caucus. While Cristina was listening what the other delegates were saying, I was writing a new opening speech. I was trembling and writing as fast as I can. In unmoderated caucus we spoke with different countries and it was fun because they were all nice people. My favorite part is of course when they sang me happy birthday. They sang happy birthday to Germany, it was very funny. I was no more nervous and I started to have fun and I made new friends. I think that is the most important thing of this conference.
It was an unforgettable day. I met a lot of people and I had a lot of fun. I was the center of attention of the room after the polish boy (I wasn't bothering him). I enjoy a lot the day, the most important part was having fun because this will only happen once. I was very sociable and I wasn't shine so I have made a lot of friends. I think we all did a great job.
Ok this is the third time that I tried to publish this comment!!
It was a great day! I was feeling nervous because... I didn't even know why. We have made new friends, we have learned from other countries, I lost a bit of my shyness, we did a great job...
Even if Germany didn't talk too much as a "powerful" country, we talk. Everyone there were nice, with a high level of English and they were looking so professional!! The chair was very nice too us, in fact all of them were nice and funny. We sang and danced two songs: Baby shark and another one that I don't remember the name.
Even if we don't pass we shouldn't be worried because we have done a great job, we did our best there! This was an unforgettable day 😊
I had never imagined that it was going to be like it was. I don't have words to describe how such amazing and funny it was. I think that my classmates and I were quite lucky to be chosen so I think we all took advantage of that day and had fun. For myself, it was really weird that in any moment of the first hours I wasn't nervous so it taught me how to control myself. I have to say that I am really proud of my classmates not only the people who went also the people who stayed in class because they gave us the energy. Without this chance we would not have had the opportunity to know about gender equality and how important it is, for me it was a theme that I didn't know too much so that's why I am really thankful. I am pretty sure that anyone would enjoy this opportunity! It was such an incredible experience that will only happen once in my life!
